The Guidance of the Gods

My Egyptian Tarot deck is small but perfectly formed (so that I can take it everywhere).

I have been reading since young and have a few decks, plus some runes. But since the tarot originates from Egypt, I always find the guidance of these old gods to be the best. Many of the great civilisations took the guidance of the gods, the tarot, and the oracles of the time. The pharaohs were of course guided by such, and also the great empires of Rome and Greece.

The Temple of Isis cult was present in Rome since ancient times, having been brought over from Egypt with her priests. The cult attracted the wealthiest and most high-up of patrons, and even the emperors themselves. It is my personal feeling that once the great empires began to discontinue the practice of such guidance and walk a more conventional path, each empire became mundane and fell.
